How is college differant from high school?

I came from a differant high school, i came from Mary Ward. One of six schools in Canada that is Self-Directed learning. Meaning we make our own schedules and we manage our own time. Most stuents who arrive in grade 9 dont stay till graduation. Everyone else, they stay an extra year. And for those who actually graduated on time, they dont have very many friends. Coming from a self-directed learning fasiclity this is all new to me, i.e. coming to class on a fixed schedule, due dates, and the same people in the same class...
